Cependant, il existe d&rsquo;autres sources potentielles de neutrons qui peuvent \u00eatre rencontr\u00e9es. Comprendre les principes fondamentaux de l&rsquo;interaction des neutrons avec la mati\u00e8re et choisir la bonne solution en mati\u00e8re de mat\u00e9riaux de protection contre les neutrons sont des \u00e9tapes importantes pour travailler en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 dans des zones o\u00f9 le rayonnement neutronique peut \u00eatre pr\u00e9sent.<\/p>\n<p>Comme le rayonnement gamma, les neutrons subissent des interactions de diffusion et d&rsquo;absorption avec la mati\u00e8re. Ces interactions sont \u00e0 la base des m\u00e9thodes utilis\u00e9es pour prot\u00e9ger et mesurer le rayonnement neutronique. Cependant, contrairement au rayonnement gamma, qui interagit principalement avec les \u00e9lectrons de la mati\u00e8re, les neutrons interagissent principalement avec le noyau.
