NPO fabrique depuis des dizaines d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es des parois de blindage en plomb et des \u00e9crans de protection contre l&rsquo;eau. Ces boucliers permettent de r\u00e9duire la dose dans une large zone en bloquant la direction g\u00e9n\u00e9rale d&rsquo;o\u00f9 provient le rayonnement.<\/p>\n<p>Les panneaux de blindage en plomb NPO sont des feuilles de plomb solide prises en sandwich entre des feuilles d&rsquo;acier au carbone ou d&rsquo;acier inoxydable. Ces panneaux sont modulaires et con\u00e7us pour s&rsquo;assembler afin de former des murs de presque toutes les hauteurs et largeurs. Lorsqu&rsquo;ils sont vides, ces boucliers sont relativement l\u00e9gers et peuvent \u00eatre facilement mis en place. Une fois install\u00e9es, elles sont remplies d&rsquo;eau, ce qui leur conf\u00e8re un blindage contre les rayons gamma et les neutrons. Les boucliers d&rsquo;eau NPO peuvent \u00eatre construits dans un certain nombre de configurations, notamment des boucliers rectangulaires embo\u00eet\u00e9s et des boucliers en forme de croissant qui s&#8217;embo\u00eetent les uns dans les autres et s&rsquo;incurvent autour d&rsquo;une zone.
