Afin d&rsquo;\u00e9viter la mise en place d&rsquo;\u00e9chafaudages ou de racks de couvertures de plomb autonomes qui occuperaient un espace pr\u00e9cieux au sol, NPO a con\u00e7u des racks de couvertures de plomb qui utiliseraient les trous des goujons de la bride de la t\u00eate du r\u00e9acteur. Les poteaux situ\u00e9s \u00e0 la base de chaque \u00e9tag\u00e8re s&rsquo;enfoncent dans le trou du goujon et maintiennent l&rsquo;\u00e9tag\u00e8re en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Les cr\u00e9maill\u00e8res ont \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u00e9g\u00e8rement incurv\u00e9es pour suivre le diam\u00e8tre ext\u00e9rieur de la bride. Des couvertures en laine de plomb ont ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 suspendues aux supports pour cr\u00e9er un mur de boucliers sans jointure.<\/p>\n<p>Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un rack \u00e0 deux niveaux con\u00e7u pour contenir deux couches de couvertures de plomb standard, les couvertures de plomb se superposant d&rsquo;un rack \u00e0 l&rsquo;autre pour att\u00e9nuer le ruissellement.
