Notre BPE standard contient 5 % de bore en poids. L&rsquo;avantage d&rsquo;ajouter du bore est que la capture par le B-10 r\u00e9duit la dose due \u00e0 la production secondaire de rayons gamma. Il capture principalement par le biais de (n, alpha), et les alphas sont facilement r\u00e9absorb\u00e9s dans le mat\u00e9riau. La manipulation et le stockage des combustibles us\u00e9s est le domaine o\u00f9 les BPE ont le plus d&rsquo;applications. Il est couramment utilis\u00e9 pour les protections des couvercles de bidons, les panneaux autour de la plate-forme de travail et les protections des cloches pour les f\u00fbts de transfert. Le BPE peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 en association avec le T-Flex\u00ae, le plomb et\/ou l&rsquo;acier pour r\u00e9duire consid\u00e9rablement les rayonnements neutroniques et gamma.
